With the higher temps comes an appetite for snacks on skewers and convenient light bites we can rustle up in a matter of minutes.
Notice how the weather forecast has a serious hold on our food mood. Rain? Give us seven types of potato. Cold wintry day? Stews, roast dinners, pie and mash in that order, one after the other. It’s the Italians’ worst kept secret and one we’re glad to be in on. Warm-up for your main course with this Mediterranean medley made with fresh basil, garlic, tomatoes, red onion, punctuated with balsamic and served on toasted bread. Remarkably simple. Undeniably genius.
This is one we like to call The Harry Styles. For one of the most refreshing salad iterations of all time, toss watermelon, cucumber, feta, mint and red onion together in a bowl and dress with a simple red wine and olive oil vinaigrette. Refreshing AF.
We’re just ashamed we’re only learning about the cracker pizza hype NOW. Crunchy base – winning, bubbly cheese – winning, ready in under 10 mins – WINNING.
Skip the big dinner and head straight for dessert with these banana split kebabs. Hear us out. Thread banana, strawbs and pineapple onto a skewer, drizzle with melted chocolate and coat with chopped nuts. Converted? We thought as much.
Crispy and light, these sweet potato crisps are a post-lockdown miracle. Great as a stand-alone snack or married between bread to form a 10/10 sweet ‘n’ salty sarnie.
These frozen chocolate peanut butter banana bites are the perfect warm-weather canapé. Keep a batch in the freezer for that 3pm snack attack. Or ya know, midnight.
